Daily Care for paraplegic. Help get into and out of bed, shower, walk the dog. 😊 Come to work prepared to have fun! Must watch THE UPSIDE with Kevin Hart...yup, it's policy. 😊

Thursday
7:00pm to 11:00pm
Friday - Saturday
7:00am - 11:00am
7:00pm - 11:00pm
Sunday
5:30am - 9:30am (after you hit your stride...we can start later. 😊 )
7:00pm - 11:00pm
These are great hours and great money...gives you time with your family.
$25.00/hr. Annual Raises...
DUTIES (but not limited to)
Get me out of bed, dressed, wound care (if necessary), bowel care (details at interview: it is not difficult, I will train you…just be ok with doing it), Housekeeping, laundry, occasional errands (Store, Pharmacy, Post Office, etc.). Take my service dog pee first thing in the morning and the last thing at night (I am in bed during those times).
Be sure and keep track of any and all your mileage if you run errands…it adds up faster than you think. Currently 67¢ per mile tax write off.
Evenings: Put me to bed –basically the reverse of getting me up. Maybe some very light housekeeping, bowel care. Take the dog out once last time. FIRE CHECK!!! Very Important!!!
Once you have this down...usually about an hour to get me in bed.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! This is an entry level position! No experience necessary. I will train the right person. I would prefer training someone. Just be RELIABLE AND RESPONSIBLE. Please, be here ON TIME! I am stuck in bed until you get here. I need you.
REQUIRMENTS
- Must pass a drug test (we will test for opiates/opioids, Marijuana, etc. If you are on pain killers or something…just let us know. If we are surprised, I will have no choice but to disqualify you or fire you. :(
- Must pass a criminal background check – we all have a past. Be honest with me and as long as you are not an axe murderer, we are probably ok. 😊 No open cases, etc.
- Must have a valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Must be at least 18!
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Deadlift 1000lbs would be cool! 😊 I have a Hoyer Lift (I’ll show you how to use it…easy peasy) …so very little lifting.
- Must be willing to do household chores...as to my specifications. 😉 Do them the same way in a year from now, like in the beginning when you are trying to impress me…
- Must be organized…help me put away my medical supplies when then come in, etc.
- Must have the good sense the Lord gave yeah! (Common Sense – Horse sense, ya know) haha
- Must have good work ethic and be a self-starter!! Be friendly, have fun but at the end of the day recognize the employee/employer relationship.
- Must be able to take constructive friendly criticism.
- Must be willing and able to work around a large dog. If you hate dogs, fear them, annoyed by them, or are allergic then this may not be the place for you. She is very playful and not aggressive...but she loves attention. 😊
COMPENSATION
Will you make good money? This is usually a question that I get asked more times than not so I will just handle that now.
More money than most caregiver positions (seriously, check it out) ...more than a CNA at the hospital. Yes, it is really good money! However, if your chief reason for being here is money…then you will never make enough! Anything in the medical field, especially a caregiver, your reward for coming to work must be more than money or just will not work.
This is really good. Because it is a split shift, I need help getting out of bed and going to bed, you have your whole day! It's helpful if you live in Medford or close.
At first the split shift may seem like a pain…but as you learn your job…you will be amazed at how quickly the time goes. You can usually get finished in about 2 hours. In fact, you will have benefits here you will not get anywhere else. Besides, you get me as your boss. Woah! Like the best boss ever.
WHO AM I?

I have 7 children and 5 grandchildren and God's reward for not killings your kids when you really thought about it is...grandkids. 😊 It's true...it's true.
I am a Christian with a very strong faith. If you are not a Christian, that is ok…just please respect my beliefs…no swearing or TAKING THE LORD’S NAME (The obvious ones, but also Jeez, OMG, oh J_sus, Holy ----- fill in the blank) etc. When you are at home cuss up, a storm if you like. 😊
I read a lot and watch YouTube, news in the morning. I collect Bibles 📖 – I have about 200 Bibles. My oldest Bible was printed in 1535 - The Coverdale Bible. I also collect Star Trek stuff---and some other cool things. I have written and published several books. I am working on three new ones….if I ever complete them.
If you can make a nice cup of Earl Grey Tea 🍵 that is a HUGE BONUS!!! 😊 I love tea. I like coffee ☕ too...
I'm not Bri'eesh...so, I shall not be taking a spot of milk or any other spots in me tea mate. :) Someone emailed me once in response to this and told me “My British accent was terrible.” LOL It’s…a text. I do not know what a British or any other accent sounds like in text. 😊 Oh and a joke. haha
I try and stay active. I take my service dog for a walk every day for about 2-3 miles. She will go nuts if I do not take her for a run every morning.
I love to talk…believe me when I tell you this! I will literally talk your leg off…leaving very little on the bone for my dog! 😊
I am looking for someone who wants to come to work…yet it doesn’t feel like it's a job…we will have fun, laugh joke, etc. I don't want this to feel like just another job to you. At the same time someone who can respect the employee-employer relationship.
At the end of the day remember who the boss is. Make sure you call me “lord” or “Sir!”. Or it’s off to the dungeon with you!!! LOL just kidding. Haha. Or am I? 🤔🙃😉
At the same time…relax and feel part of my life and my dog's. Someone that can laugh and joke with us…be a friend…etc. We will spend a lot of time together…a great fit is important. I MUST trust you.

Believe me, she is very opinionated. We are working through that in counseling, but I don’t think it’s taking. 😂
Shhhhh...she thinks counseling is going well. But if she doesn't stop raising her voice at me...everytime the phone rings...she starts in with me - she has to go potty, she wants to play ball-the 37 balls in her toy box... she wants the one she lost under the couch two weeks ago...she wants a hotdog 🌭 I mean a package of hotdogs!
