• On July 26 at 6:09 p.m., a suspect at West County Center was arrested for stealing, possession of a theft device and felony drug possession.
• On July 30 at 2:51 p.m., a suspect stole $1,000 in a “quick change” scam at Macy’s in West County Center.
• On July 31 at 6:15 a.m., officers recovered a vehicle stolen out of St. Charles unoccupied on the shoulder of northbound I-270.
• On Aug. 1 at 4:36 p.m., a suspect stole $400 in clothing from JC Penney in West County Center.
• On Aug. 1 at 5:21 p.m., a suspect was arrested for stealing $500 from the cash register at Macy’s in West County Center.
• On Aug. 2 at 1:34 p.m., two suspects were arrested for stealing $150 in clothing from GAP in West County Center.
• On Aug. 2 at 6:33 p.m., a theft investigation at West County Center led to an arrest of a suspect with an active warrant out of St. Peters.
• On Aug. 3 at 11:12 a.m., a suspect stole $430 in clothing from Macy’s in West County Center. The suspect was later identified.
• On Aug. 3 at 12:03 p.m., a victim’s license plate was stolen in the 12000 block of Ridgefield Drive.
• On Aug. 4 at 6:41 p.m., a suspect broke the window of a vehicle in the 2000 block of Greenbriar Ridge Drive.
• On Aug. 6 at 7:39 p.m., two suspects stole $88 in clothing from West County Center.
• On Aug. 8 at 3:23 p.m., a stolen vehicle was recovered at West County Center. A suspect was arrested for tampering.
Glendale
• On Aug. 19 at 2:51 a.m., the security monitoring company for Glendale Chrysler Jeep Dodge, 10070 Manchester Road, reported observing a suspicious person on the parking lot. Officers contacted the 34-year-old Warrenton man, who stated he was just “window shopping” before heading home. He was advised to leave the area and complied.
• On Aug. 21 at 1 p.m., a 48-year-old male entered Lindell Bank, 10018 Manchester Road, stated he was homeless and appeared to be suffering a mental health crisis. He made several inquiries into the history of Lindell Bank and eventually left the building in an unknown direction. Management was advised to contact police if the man returns.
• On Aug. 22 at 1:26 p.m., management of Cadence Bank, 9994 Manchester Road, reported a suspicious male wandering around the bank property. Officers located the man walking westbound on Manchester Road in front of a nearby business. He refused to speak with officers and was allowed to continue on his way.
• On Aug. 23 at 7:54 p.m., officers stopped an illegal golf cart on North Berry Road at West Lockwood Avenue. The driver had received previous warnings from police regarding his vehicle not meeting qualifications as defined by Glendale ordinance. The driver was once again warned and advised to correct the equipment violations and not drive on county roadways.
• On Aug. 24 at 4:39 p.m., officers observed a suspicious person on the parking lot of North Glendale Elementary, 765 N. Sappington Road. Investigation revealed he was there working on the flower beds and had permission to do so from the school district.
• On Aug. 24 at 10:55 p.m., officers were asked to check the welfare of a resident of the 800 block of Alexandra Ave. because he was not answering his phone. Investigation revealed he turned his phone off earlier in the day and forgot to turn it back on.
• On Aug. 25 at 1:45 p.m., officers investigated a report of illegally parked vehicles in the 1300 block of N. Berry Road. Some were due to an open house in the area. The vehicles were moved upon request.
Kirkwood/Oakland
• On Aug. 22 at 3:44 p.m., representatives for a bank in the 300 block of S. Kirkwood reported an individual was on scene attempting to cash a fraudulent check. Officers arrested the subject for attempted fraud. The suspect stated he was recruited by unknown persons in the St. Louis City area to cash the check with the promise of cash in return.
• On Aug. 22 at 7:13 p.m., a traffic stop in the area of Geyer and Ashwood led to the arrest of the driver for driving while intoxicated.

Shrewsbury
• Missouri RSMO 570.030 states that if one is convicted of three stealing-related offenses within a 10-year time period, any subsequent theft is a felony, regardless of value. Knowing this, tell me why on Aug. 19, an adult female entered a business in the 7400 block of Watson Road, consumed a coffee drink and a tea drink, then concealed ink pens in her bra, along with other random junk, and exited the store, after which she was arrested. Why are we catching felonies for ink pens and iced tea?
• On Aug. 21, an adult male caught a felony charge for stealing a bike tire from a business in the 7400 block of Watson Road. Yep, a bike tire.
• On Aug. 23, a dog owner was charged with animal neglect after leaving their dog in a parked vehicle at a business in the 7400 block of Watson Road when the outside temperature was 89 degrees.
• On Aug. 23, a resident of the 7300 block of Lansdowne Ave. reported the theft of a package from his front porch. An officer recognized the thief from a recent arrest for a different theft. She is currently being sought for felony stealing.
• On Aug. 25, a subject was detained after attempting to pass a clearly fake $100 bill at a business in the 7400 block of Watson Road. An astute cashier noticed the phony money with the help of “For Motion Picture Use Only” printed on the bill. The case will be presented to the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney.

• On Aug 19 at 4:55 p.m., a victim in the 1100 block of Hawken Place reported items were stolen from their Jeep overnight. A diamond necklace, picture frame and possibly several other items were missing. Security camera footage showed a mid-size sport utility vehicle stop by the victim’s Jeep briefly and then drive away.
